Krystle Wright
Krystle Wright, a world class adventure photographer, cinematographer, and director from Australia reached out to Moss LED looking for a durable, reliable warm white LED that she could use to install inside ‘The Crack’ of the Seventh Serpent 5.11+ Reptilian Wall in Utah.

Krystle, known for work in National Geographic, was to climb next to her friend Angela Vanwiemeersch and photograph her while Angela installed 30 meters of our FlexLED 120 White 12V 2700K and using our BP100 Battery Pack to power it up off the side of the canyon. She explains the installation process in an interview with The Pill Outdoor Journal , “I followed her footsteps to insert the lights along the crack. Which wasn’t easy because I had to secure them well with some tape: the last thing I wanted was for one to fall out at some point. However, this operation lasted two days because we were in a period where the temperatures were extremely high and we could not climb during the day, but had to wait for the sun to go down in the late afternoon. In the meantime, however, we experimented, for example on the first day, after arranging the set, we did some close-ups, and the next day I went down and up the opposite canyon to shoot from a different perspective.” Krystle has a reputation for her creativity. “National Geographic lists Krystle as one of the leading female adventure photographers who is pushing the limits in the industry.”  Krystle states, “It was quite the task of rigging 30m of L.E.D light tape up Seventh Serpent with [Angela Vanwiemeersch] as we split it over two afternoon sessions.”
Taking home the Red Bull Illume Award for this shoot, Krystle became the first woman in the contest's seventeen-year history to do so.
